Water bus

The waterbus service to Suomenlinna is operated by JT-Line. The waterbus service to the fortress runs from May through September. Please see the JT-Line website for detailed schedules.

The waterbus departs from the Kolera-allas area of the Market Square, near Esplanadi Park. To reduce emissions, we recommend that you use public transport to get to the Market Square. There are very few parking places around the Market Square.

In Suomenlinna, the waterbus departs from the Artillery Bay pier and also stops at the King’s Gate. Some waterbus departures stop at Lonna island on the way to Suomenlinna from the Market Square.

HSL tickets are not valid on the waterbus. Waterbus tickets can be bought either at the ticket booth in the Market Square or on board the bus. Please see the JT-Line website for ticket prices.
