Information and feedback
Suomenlinna is one of the most popular sights in Finland with around one million visitors yearly. Tourist information at the fortress is open all year around and can be found at the pink Jetty Barracks building right by the HSL ferry quay.
The tourist information will gladly give you tips for your visit and provide you with information on the services available and events taking place. At the tourist information point you can pick up the free Suomenlinna brochure available in nine languages (Finnish, Swedish, English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese). The brochure has a map of the fortress and basic information on the history, sights and services on the island. Check the calendar for more information on the times when the services are available.
Opening hours
The tourist information is open
- daily from 10 am to 6 pm during the summer season (1 May–30 September) and
- daily from 10 am to 4 pm during the winter season (1 October–3o April).
The tourist information is closed on Good Friday, Independence Day (6 December) as well as Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (24–25 December).

Free introductory exhibition
At the tourist information there is also a free introductory exhibition that provides the visitor with good background information about the fortress. Free wi-fi is also available at the tourist information.
Next to the tourist information there is a waiting area for ferry passengers, open every day from early morning to late at night (6 am to 2 am). There is a public toilet in the waiting area.

The Governing Body of Suomenlinna actively collects feedback from all visitors to the fortress and customers of the conference and banquet facilities.
