Walhalla & Pizzeria Nikolai

Walhalla, located on the southern tip of Suomenlinna, was opened in 1952 for entertaining guests attending the Helsinki Olympics. Walhalla consists of two restaurants:

Restaurant Walhalla, Sun View Terrace & Bar

Open in the evening, this restaurant is known for its gourmet delicacies and high-quality wine selection. The observation terrace offers a magnificent sea view. Restaurant Walhalla is open during the summer season, but can be booked for events throughout the year. The opening hours can be found in the calendar.

Pizzeria Nikolai

In the pizzeria, you can choose a table either in the labyrinthine fortress ramparts or on the sunny summertime terrace. Pizzeria Nikolai is open during the summer season when weather permits. Nikolai can be booked for events throughout the year. The opening hours can be found in the calendar.

Accessibility: There are some steps at the main entrance to Walhalla, but the restaurant can be accessed by wheelchair via the back entrance with assistance from the restaurant staff. There are several different levels in the restaurant, but the restaurant is equipped with ramps. The restaurant’s toilet facilities are very small but accessible by wheelchair. With assistance, Pizzeria Nikolai is accessible by wheelchair via a steep ramp. A long, narrow staircase leads to the Sun View Terrace.
